Memorandum Of Understanding (Mou) With Bahagian Pendidikan Latihan Teknikal Vokasional

A Memorandum of Understanding signed between ACSON Malaysia Sales & Service Sdn Bhd, and the Vocational Technical Education and Training Division (Bahagian Pendidikan dan Latihan Teknikal Vokasional) of the Ministry of Education will see the teachers and students at Vocational Colleges nationwide receive training on air-conditioning related HVAC courses.
This effort was in line with the Vocational Education Transformation which seeks to produce a skilled workforce that fulfils current industry needs and standards.
ACSON will be sharing its professional resources and the latest industry expertise as well as providing exposure to career pathways to students at these Vocational Colleges.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at ACSON’s headquarters in Petaling Jaya. Present at the ceremony were the Director of Vocational Technical Education and Training Division, Mr Haji Azman bin Haji Adnan, and Ms Norhana binti Mustapha, Deputy Director of the Trainer Development and Industry Relations section (Pembangunan Kejurulatihan dan Hubungan Industri Bahagian).

Representing ACSON were ACSON General Manager Mr Yeap Kin Oun and Mr Haji Rosli bin Ibrahim, Senior Manager of ACSON Business Network.
“Actually, we have been providing upskilling courses on a pro-bono basis to GLCs as well as private and public institutions over the past 36 years. We see this as our prerogative to raise the skills of air-con specialists in Malaysia since we are also a homegrown brand,” said ACSON General Manager Mr Yeap Kin Oun.
“The MoU is part of our CSR initiative, aligned with our philosophy: ‘Contribute to society with world leading technology’. To reduce the environmental impact of the air-conditioner industry, we have introduced R32 (an eco-friendly refrigerant) for almost all our products. Thus, we also educate our end users on benefits of an inverter system and introduce IOT devices such as WiFi module for our products”.

“By establishing our own manufacturing and R&D centre, the quality of our products are on par with international air-conditioner brands that are present in Malaysia,” added Yeap.
ACSON is an award-winning air-conditioning brand that provides a full range of air-conditioner products and solutions for consumer, commercial and industrial use, as well as a comprehensive range of accompanying accessories and extended products. It has 8 branches, more than 1000 dealers nationwide and more than 3000 Acson Guru network.
